Michael J. Smeriglio III, C.P.A.
Founder and CEO
A CPA since 1985, Mike has been providing tax preparation services to individuals and businesses for more than 35 years. Mike received his BBA in Financial Accounting from Pace University in 1983. Following graduation, he joined Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), where he worked in the audit and tax department. Mike transitioned to the role of Senior Internal Auditor for Pitney Bowes in Stamford, CT. Mike is a lifelong resident of Greenwich, CT where he lives with his wife Geri and their two dogs.
Christina M. Smeriglio, C.P.A.
Chief Financial Officer
Christina graduated with a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Marist College in 2012, as well as a Master of Science in accounting from Boston College in 2013. Christina began her career in public accounting at Ernst and Young working mainly on financial statement audits, whilst becoming a CPA in 2015. Christina specialized in Ernst and Young’s financial services office, serving mostly wealth and asset management clients in the greater New York area for 5 years as an Assurance Manager. Christina joined Smeriglio Associates LLC in January of 2019.

Mickey graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. He furthered his academic career at the University of Colorado Boulder earning a Master of Science in accounting specializing in auditing in 2016. Mickey began professional employment with Ernst and Young serving public pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies in the greater New York area. Mickey rose to Assurance Senior before completing his C.P.A in 2019 and transitioning to the Smeriglio Associates team.
Brenda Vivar
Senior Accountant
Brenda’s passion for numbers began at a very young age. Throughout the entirety of her education, she excelled in mathematics. After high school, she attended Iona College in New Rochelle, NY to further her education and explore the world of accounting.
In 2003, she initiated her journey in the workforce at Millennium Stone, a stone fabrication company, in Port Chester, NY. Her responsibilities there were multifaceted, working in the sales, payroll, and account receivables departments. She maintained employment there for 16 years until she changed employers, and began working for Dushi Marble and Granite in Stamford, CT in 2019, where she continued the same responsibilities.
In pursuit of her goal, to begin her career in accounting, she joined our team in January of 2023.
Brenda currently resides in Stamford, CT with her husband and 3 children.
Lunetta Smeriglio
Chief Barketing Officer & Accounts Retrievable
Lunetta Smeriglio, Lulu, as she is affectionately known by the clients, has been the longest running staff member of Smeriglio Associates LLC. She joined Mike when she was just a pup for her first tax season in 2007. Her main responsibilities are to greet the clients and secure a treat! In tax season she provides the much needed stress relief by snuggling behind Mike in his chair into the wee hours of the night. Lulu’s aspirations are to be able to climb the stairs and make friends with the mailman.
